At only 26, Kaumakaiwa has been an ‘olapa (dancer) of the art of hula for 15 years. He is also a singer, songwriter, composer, and arranger, and a member of the famed Halau O Kekuhi hula school and performance company. For seven generations, his family has nurtured hula, oli (chants), mele (song), and other arts of Hawaiian culture.
