The Lotus-Fitzgerald Endowment
Michael Fitzgerald is the founding contributor to the Lotus-Fitzgerald Endowment (est. 1996). The Fitzgerald family’s Fitzgerald Challenge Match (active through 2011) has been a major contributing factor to the cumulative growth of the endowment.
Since 2006, the endowment has also benefited from participation in the Matchstick Initiative of the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County. Matchstick provides a 1:2 match of donor funds — the Community Foundation contributes $1 for every $2 donated to our endowment.
The Lotus-Fitzgerald Endowment is intended to perpetuate the work of the Lotus Education and Arts Foundation for future generations.
