Taj Weekes & Adowa

“I grew up listening to the power of music, the lyrical content. That’s what matters,” says reggae artist Taj Weekes. In his native St. Lucia, he listened to every song that poured from the family radio, from hard rock and reggae to country and classical. That eclectic mix has inspired his socially conscious music, which is rooted in reggae but also taps into the blues, Ethiopian jazz, roots rock, and other influences.
