The members of Te Vaka come from Tokelau, Tuvalu, Samoa, the Cook Islands, and New Zealand. The music is rooted in indigenous music and dance, and the band members’ diverse Oceanic cultures — including powerful log drumming — but it also embraces contemporary genres like folk, pop, and rock. Led by singer and songwriter Opetaia Foa’i, they serve up this South Pacific roots music fusion in dynamic, adrenaline-filled performances. Sponsored by Women of Lotus
