Lotus Fans during a Lotus Festival Parade.

One of the aims of  Lotus@30 is to prompt memories and thoughts about the long arc of Lotus’ 30 years – whether about Lotus the organization or Lotus the festival. We’d love for you to answer the following questions.

Questions:
1. How did you first hear about Lotus? If it was through another community member, who was it? What were your first memories of Lotus?

2. What is an example of ‘textbook’ Lotus memory for you?

3. How does Lotus make you feel?

4. How do you describe Lotus to others?

5. What is one aspect of Lotus that if it were to change or disappear, would change your
relationship to Lotus?

After you finish question five, consider asking a friend to record and repeat the process! The more voices the better!

Instructions:
1. Open the voice memo/voice recorder app on your phone

2. Place the phone in the middle of your group and hit record

3. You will have 10-15 mins to discuss the questions on the paper in front of you

4. Once you are finished, stop the recording, and edit the title of recording so that it
includes the names (first and last) of everyone in the group

5. Send the recording to: 30yearsoflotus.projectmanager@lotusfest.org

We appreciate you all. 30 years of Lotus would not be possible without you.
