Feddersen, Gourley, and Miller

Boston-based Nathan Gourley and Laura Feddersen are highly regarded young players of traditional Irish music. Their playing is steeped in lifelong study of the Irish tradition and is at same time colored by their American roots. The pair have developed a unique style of twin fiddling, sometimes playing in taut unison, sometimes exploring chordal harmonies and rhythmic and melodic variations. Devotees of Bloomington’s old-time and Celtic music and dance scene will recognize Laura, who grew up in our rich old-time music community, playing at sessions and set dances. Brian Miller, a frequent collaborator, joins them on guitar and bouzouki.
