A native of Newfoundland, Keith Murphy performs a traditional song repertoire drawn from Eastern Canada and Quebec as well as from his current home, Vermont. His direct and intimate style of traditional singing in English and French infuses old ballads and songs with a powerful immediacy, and his guitar playing adds driving, percussive power. Yann Falquet is a dynamic guitarist in the world of Québécois traditional music, and his beautiful voice brings Québécois song to life poignantly, and joyfully. Lotus fans will remember Yann from the band he co-founded, Genticorum (Lotus 2010 and 2014). As a duo, Keith and Yann are bringing folk music of Quebec and Newfoundland to the Lotus stage this year.
