Bread and Puppet Theater is a politically radical puppet theater company founded in 1963 by Peter Schumann on New York City’s Lower East Side. In 1974 Bread and Puppet moved to a farm in Glover in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where it has made a home. The puppets are larger than life, and each show’s content reflects themes from present-day political news.

Arrive early and bring a picnic dinner and blankets (lawn chairs will be allowed for the back rows). RSVP for the FREE Event to ensure communication about rain location. Bread and Puppet requests that you bring your cash donation to the show. Suggested donation is $20 – $25 / person. All are welcome. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
