“Around the World in 4 Days” (Merrill Hatlen) is a portrait of the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival in Bloomington, Indiana, produced for the 25th Anniversary of the festival. The documentary includes footage of music performances by global artists, showing how the festival celebrates cultural diversity through music in tandem with providing cultural context of the music for audience members. Intertwined with the musical vignettes are behind-the-scenes looks at the festival participants and the cadre of volunteers who have made it such a success. The 90-minute film features artists from six continents, taking viewers around the world, like Lotus itself.
