Lotus Launches 2020 Match Campaign

The Lotus Education & Arts Foundation is delighted to announce the 2020 Lotus Match Campaign. Like many arts organizations, Lotus has faced losses during the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of canceled events, fundraisers, and decreased donations. This campaign seeks to engage those in our local and global communities who love Lotus and want to see the organization continue to thrive.

A generous circle of Lotus donors has pledged $15,000 to support Lotus programming for the 2020 Festival, as staff plan and execute an innovative and engaging series of events. We are asking our Lotus community to help us raise another $15,000 to reach our $30,000 goal. In comparison to years past, it’s a modest goal, but in this economically challenging year, we hope that together we can achieve this objective.

“The dedicated staff and board at Lotus have been working hard to consider new ways to deliver on our mission,” Lotus Executive Director Tamara Loewenthal said. “Although these are difficult times to be an arts non-profit, Lotus has jumped into the fray of presenting curated virtual performances, and we are so excited by how the 27th Annual World Music & Arts Festival is coming together. Your financial support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to share the global voices of our artists.”

“We are so grateful for how supportive the Lotus community has been during these uncertain times,” Lotus Development Coordinator Katie Bethel said. “With continued help from those who love Lotus, we will be able to put on a great virtual festival and sustain Lotus into the future.”
