Lotus Story: Alison LaRosa
“…the kids were so inspired that they got up, started dancing, grabbed my hand, and pulled me into the fray.”
Lotus is sustained by the countless and tireless efforts of our donors and volunteers. We are grateful for their dedication, which provides for needs like art supplies, artist fees, staff time, and essential labor during our events. Their generosity enables us to share global music and arts across South Central Indiana so that all can benefit from our programs regardless of age, ability, and background.
Alison LaRosa, a Lotus donor, Lotus Blossoms volunteer, and Indiana University graduate, recently reconnected with us and shared why Lotus Blossoms was such a meaningful experience for her.
Pictured here is Alison dancing with kids at a Lotus Blossoms concert back in 2007. She remembers that, “…the kids were so inspired that they got up, started dancing, grabbed my hand, and pulled me into the fray.” We love to see how much fun they were having!
“I support Lotus because it opened my ears and heart to so much great music and culture from around the world…I am proud to support bringing these amazing musicians to Bloomington and surrounding cities.”
Thank you, Alison, for your support. Lotus feels the love!
Consider giving a gift to Lotus to enable us to make Bloomington a unique, vibrant place that celebrates the diversity of the world’s cultures through music and arts programming all year long.
