Lotus Opening Concert

Buskirk-Chumley Theater 114 E. Kirkwood, Bloomington, United States

Doors Open at 6:30 pm Location: Buskirk Chumley Theater Lotus is excited to start the festival out with a bang! Our opener, CoolMule, is the latest and greatest Midwest old-time band to emerge, like Brood X cicada -  inevitable, unstoppable, often buzzing in the key of G. They will make the cloggers clog, the dancers go berserk, and the newly wedded couple cry. They are HOT and as cool, as, well, a mule. Our featured band is Telmary & HabanaSana. Telmary is a Cuban rapper, musician, and spoken-word artist. Her music effectively brings together two worlds that seemed disparate, combining music genres, tearing down cultural barriers, and connecting people of different backgrounds and languages. With a powerhouse band to back her up, Telmary will rock the BCT! $25 Advanced Ticket / $30 Standard Ticket View Ticket Options

Sunday Closing Concert

Buskirk-Chumley Theater 114 E. Kirkwood, Bloomington, United States

Doors Open at 2:30pm Location: Buskirk-Chumley Theater $20 Standard Ticket *Everyone gets a free pin at the Sunday Closing Concert! Our closing concert begins with this year’s Lotus Dickey Artists, Ashlee Watkins & Andrew Small. They are award-winning singers, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists with a soul-stirring sound that hearkens back to old-time radio broadcasts of the 30s and 40s. Our second performer, Luciane Dom, is a singer and songwriter, part of a new generation of contemporary artists from Rio de Janeiro. She brings poetry to themes of Black diaspora, feminism, empowerment, and other social reflections that impact the construction of her emotions. Her musical sound is influenced by Afrobeats, urban jazz, reggae, and Ijexá. Her music is sensual, danceable, and a great way to close out the festival. View Ticket Options
